    Star Trek Sunday: The Reboots

    by I am on record in several locations as saying that I am not a fan of the Star Trek reboots. I want to be. I really do. Anything that puts the words Star Trek on the front of its name has my intention, and if it has even some redeeming qualities, I will probably enjoy it. And I have enjoyed parts of the reboot movies.     Star Trek Beyond: A New Trailer

    by So I’ve watched the new trailer for Star Trek: Beyond several times now, and I’m still coming away with a far better impression than from the first. The presentation, at least, gives the vision of something more than a mediocre action adventure movie with Star Trek trappings that rips off previous plots without making enough sense to avoid a WTF was that reaction.
