Life isn’t easy:

We don’t get what we deserve,

We get what we get

This may seem a little fatalistic, but I try to recognize that there are quite a large number of things beyond my control. Sometimes it may look like fatalism on the surface, but if you’ve ever heard someone use the phrase, “It is what it is,” I think that’s coming from the same root feeling. We can’t always control what the universe sends our way, but we can often control how we react to whatever it is.
